For nearly 20 years, Julia Lundeberg has worked in the mental health field as a family and individual therapist, an adjunct professor, and a director and clinical supervisor of numerous mental health and substance use programs in the Los Angeles area. She has been responsible for supervising counselors and case managers involved in direct patient care as well as providing direct service to those seeking consultations, crisis intervention, and individual, couple/family or group psychotherapy.
Julia has conducted in-service training to staff and trainees, utilization reviews and audits by funding agencies, treatment planning, and appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendation. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including those in residential and outpatient treatment, prison-involved populations, and transitional aged youth.
At CLARE|MATRIX, Julia was initially responsible for Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, then oversaw clinical services and operations for the Residential Treatment Center, Outpatient Prevention Center and Admissions departments. She also served as the Sr. Director of Program Operations, focusing on monitoring quality of services to ensure compliance with CARF standards and state requirements.
Julia is certified in Seeking Safety, LPS-designated to place clients involuntarily into a psychiatric setting. She is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
