Meeting Purpose

This presentation will provide an overview of the CLARE|MATRIX Pico Campus Improvement Project and to gather neighborhood feedback from the community so any concerns may be considered before formal applications are submitted to the Santa Monica Planning Division for Administrative Approval and Architectural Review Board.

Project Description

The CLARE|MATRIX Pico Campus Improvement Project is a proposed substance use and mental health recovery facility that will replace 3 existing buildings located at 901-913 Pico Boulevard. The new facility will provide and upgrade residential recovery treatment services that are currently provided at the existing location. CLARE|MATRIX has operated at the site and neighboring facilities since 1970.  As proposed, the project will consist of a 4-story, 25,970 sq. ft. building with 1 level of subterranean parking. The building height will be approximately 49 ft. The project will provide approximately 17 parking spaces for staff and 27 long-term bicycle spaces on the subterranean level, and 6 short-term bicycle spaces at street level.
