Dan George has been working in a leadership role with Matrix Institute on Addictions since 1999 and has both research and clinical experience. He has served as a Principal Investigator for several NIDA-funded studies and pharmaceutical studies involving psychosocial treatment approaches for substance use disorders. Mr. George has also served in Evaluator and Project Director roles for five Targeted Capacity Expansion HIV grants, funded by the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Mr. George has been the Director of Operations for Matrix Institute since 2012 and is now the Chief Operating Officer for the merged organization.
Mr. George earned his Master degree in Public Health from California State University, Northridge with an emphasis on health education/program design. He completed his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands with an emphasis on finance.
