People with Co-Occurring Issues

Those experiencing mental health issues and substance use are often diagnosed with a co-occurring disorder. Co-occurring disorders can be difficult to diagnose and treat, as symptoms of mental health and addiction often mask each other.

At CLARE|MATRIX, we understand the importance of identifying obstacles and treating the whole person in order to build a foundation for long-term recovery. To help us maintain this commitment to better serve individuals experiencing mental health issues, we have partnered with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to form a program designed to primarily focus on mental health stabilization known as Healing House.

About Healing House

Healing House is a residential treatment facility with the capacity to house and treat up to 16 men and women for mental health diagnosis and stabilization. At Healing House, people are assessed to determine what level of care they will transition to when leaving the facility. Sometimes this means building a treatment plan that includes transition to another CLARE|MATRIX residential facility that is designed to treat their symptoms. Other times people transition back into their own homes. Regardless of their journey, we believe that it is our obligation to help save their lives through recovery.
