We believe when you put treatment first, treatment lasts. CLARE|MATRIX offers proven treatment programs and compassionate care based on over 80 years of experience.

Matrix Model Treatments address the many factors that contribute to alcohol and substance use. The needs of the persons in care are considered in all of our individualized treatment plans for all levels of care and include the following:

Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a style of therapy that is designed to respect people while helping them move toward making health related changes. This non-confrontational style of therapy creates a nurturing relationship in which people can thrive and successfully heal. This is a hallmark of all Matrix Model treatments.

Twelve-Step Facilitation
Research findings show that involvement in Twelve-Step recovery activities improve treatment outcomes. This includes learning about Twelve-Step programs and attending Twelve-Step meetings. CLARE|MATRIX also encourages involvement in other spiritual approaches to recovery.

Family Involvement
The involvement and attitudes of family members and friends can significantly enhance the recovery process. Families are always strongly encouraged to participate in the Matrix treatment experience.

The Matrix Model was founded on the principle that scientific findings can be easily translated, explained, and used by people and their families. As scientific advances are made, the latest information is incorporated into the CLARE|MATRIX treatment programs.

Contingency Management
Reinforcing positive behaviors during treatment has been shown to be highly effective in achieving a variety of substance use treatment goals. CLARE|MATRIX uses this principle in all of the treatment programs.

Continuing Care
People are offered continuing care groups at CLARE|MATRIX following the intensive phase of treatment. Individuals who stay connected by attending the continuing care groups have a better chance of achieving long-term recovery.

Did you know: up to 25% of people who try to detox on their own will die trying? Safe detoxification means having specially trained professionals oversee and manage the process. Based on a person’s dependency to a substance, the withdrawal symptoms associated with certain drugs and alcohol can be lethal, so it is advised to have a medical professional present when starting this phase of treatment.

CLARE|MATRIX’s multidisciplinary team comprising of medical professionals including Addictionologists, Psychiatrists, and nursing staff supervise the detoxification process and administer clinical support as needed.

Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) has been proven to improve outcomes for patients in alcohol and drug treatment. A number of different medications are currently available to assist individuals with their withdrawal and recovery from alcohol and drug use. Some of the medications available include:

  • Acamprosate (Campral) – for alcohol dependence
  • ReVia (naltrexone) – for alcohol and opioid dependence
  • Vivitrol (naltrexone – Long Acting Injection) – for alcohol dependence
  • Suboxone and Subutex (buprenorphine) – for opioid dependence
  • Methadone – for opioid dependence

Many individuals in need of alcohol and drug treatment also suffer from co-occurring psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorders that require medication. These efforts allow for the highest level of clinical excellence during substance abuse treatment and provide additional support for those struggling with mental health problems.
