Santa Monica, CA — May 8, 2024 — CLARE | MATRIX, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery services, hosted its 2024 Tribute Dinner Fundraiser on May 5th at the Skirball Cultural Center.

The event recognized three exceptional individuals who have significantly impacted the recovery community. Shireen Janti, a respected recovery professional with over three decades of experience as a Certified Professional Coach, Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist, was honored alongside Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities (LATLC), a prominent nonprofit supporting local causes, including their life-changing work with C|M participants, and Jeff Greenberg, owner and CEO of The Village recording studio in West Los Angeles and significant recovery advocate.

The program also included live music, a special in-memory video to a long-standing member of the community Dorothy Richards, and testimonials from CLARE | MATRIX program alumni Andria Medina and Anthony Arenas. Their experiences exemplify the transformative impact of recovery. Andria completed residential, outpatient, and recovery bridge housing programs at CLARE | MATRIX and now serves as a peer support specialist, inspiring hope and recovery in others. Anthony's journey with CLARE | MATRIX opened new horizons, guiding him toward a substance-free life and ambitious goals for higher education and leadership.

The event successfully raised funds to support forty individuals seeking access to SUD treatment services, highlighting the significant impact of collective efforts in addressing addiction and supporting recovery.
