Who We Serve | Santa Monica & Mid-City Los Angeles
Youth Prevention & Opioid Safety
You matter. Your life matters. And you don’t have to figure this out alone.
Whether you’re curious, concerned about a friend, looking for support, or just want real information without the judgment — you’re in the right place. We’re here for young people ages 16–25 in our community, and we’ve got your back.
About the Program
Real support. No lectures. No shame.
The opioid epidemic is affecting young people in Santa Monica and across the country — and we’re not okay with that. That’s why CLARE | MATRIX created a youth-focused program built around one idea: meeting you where you are.
We’re not here to judge you or anyone you care about. We’re here to give you the tools, knowledge, and support to stay safe and make informed choices — whatever that looks like for you.

Overdose Protection
Knowing how to help can save a life — including yours
Fentanyl is in more drugs than ever, and it’s incredibly dangerous — even in tiny amounts. That’s why we provide free fentanyl test strips so you can check before you or someone you care about uses. We also provide Narcan (naloxone), the medication that can reverse an opioid overdose within minutes.
We offer free, judgment-free training on how to use both. No experience needed. No commitment required. Just real, life-saving information that could make all the difference.
Drop-In Centers
Two locations. Zero judgment. Total confidentiality.
Our youth drop-in centers are designed for you — a safe, welcoming space where you can walk in on your own terms. Whether you want to talk to a counselor, connect with a peer who gets it, learn more about substance use, or just grab some resources and go — we’re here for all of it.
Everything is confidential. You can access our overdose prevention vending machine at our Santa Monica location for Narcan, fentanyl test strips, condoms, and other health items — quickly, privately, and without having to talk to anyone if you don’t want to.

Virtual Drop-In Center (Coming Soon)
Support that comes to you — wherever you are
We know that walking into a building isn’t always possible — or comfortable. That’s why we’re launching our Virtual Drop-In Center: a private, online space where you can get the same support without ever leaving your home.
Join a session with your camera off. Stay completely anonymous. Ask a question, talk to a counselor one-on-one, or join one of our virtual groups — on your schedule, in your space. No pressure. No labels. Just support.
You’ll also be able to download resources directly from the site — guides, information, tools — whenever you need them.
Community & Social Media
We’re where you are — online and in the community
Staying connected isn’t just about crisis moments. We show up at schools, wellness events, and resource fairs across Santa Monica and Central Los Angeles to make sure you know we exist long before you might need us. We partner with other youth organizations to amplify opioid awareness and create community around safety, not stigma.
On social media, our dedicated youth page keeps things real: harm reduction education, sober activities, community events, and spaces for honest conversation. Follow us to stay in the loop — and to see that you’re far from alone in navigating this.
