Co-Founder and Long-Serving Board Member at CLARE | MATRIX Is Retiring After More Than 35 Years of Service

SANTA MONICA, CA | May 25, 2021: Co-Founder of the former Matrix Institute on Addictions and long-serving board member at CLARE | MATRIX is retiring after a career that spans nearly four decades with the organization. Jeanne L. Obert, MFT, MSM began her journey with CLARE | MATRIX in the early 1980’s and has been a driving force behind the globally recognized Matrix Model for Substance Use and Behavioral Health Treatment. On June 5, 2021 there will be a virtual gathering open to all that would like to attend to honor Jeanne’s industry-defining legacy.
“Jeanne’s long-standing commitment to our mission and to the people we serve continues to have an immeasurable impact not only on the people in our care but also on the thousands of clinicians around the world that benefit from the Matrix Model Trainings for Providers that she helped create” stated the Chief Executive Officer at CLARE | MATRIX, Dr. Lisa Steele.
The Matrix Model is a structured, multi-component, evidence-based treatment model that includes relapse prevention, family therapy, group therapy, psycho-education and self-help, delivered in a sequential and clinically coordinated manner. The model has been recognized in The Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs and Health in 2016 by the U.S. Department of Health and is also listed on the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
